A free tool that lets any workspace design its own logo while still looking like part of Precious Plastic. Less time spent on branding, more time spent shredding and melting.
Even though every Precious Plastic project belongs to the same global push to rethink plastic, each one is its own unique thing. And if you want your recycling project known, sooner or later you need a logo.
But if you are busy recycling, you probably don’t have time to do this yourself, or learn how to. Hiring a designer can cost hundreds, and not everyone has one around. There are so many decisions that go into such a small thing: What’s the main image? How should it be laid out? What fonts would look good?
We wanted a way to help recyclers with this job. To help a project to show two things at once: this is mine, and this is part of something bigger.

We started by sharing our existing branding package: fonts, an easy stylebook, posters for the workspace. These are materials that can be used on your business cards, your website, your social media accounts, and even right inside your workspace.
Then we built a free logo creator so anyone can make their own version of our classic logo, that makes their project instantly recognizable as part of the Precious Plastic family.
We started by making a set of rules that would give users creative freedom, but keep enough elements the same, so the logo would still be recognizable.

We came up with a color system for the function of the project in the Precious Plastic Universe.

And, like we do for all of our resources, we created a guide that is easy to follow and creates a professional result.

A logo is a small thing, but it stands for your project, your values and who you belong to. This one is free, and we are always glad to spot another in the wild.
All over the world machine builders, recyclers, community points and collectors, are recognisable as part of the Precious Plastic universe.
A logo creator does not run a recycling business. But it takes one more cost and one more worry off the pile, down to zero. Instead of spending hundreds on branding, a new project can put that money and attention where it belongs: recycling plastic, and making things worth showing off. All the while, our recyclers get to share in a brand that comes with global recognition.
